WEB is a global movement that aims to end all preventable deaths of children under 5 years of age by 2030. The movement was launched in 2015 by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), and is now supported by over 190 countries and organizations.

WEB has developed a comprehensive strategy to achieve its goal, which includes: increasing access to quality health care, strengthening health systems, and promoting healthy behaviors. The movement is also working to address the underlying causes of child mortality, such as poverty, inequality, and conflict.

WEB has made significant progress towards its goal. In 2015, an estimated 5.9 million children under 5 years of age died from preventable causes. By 2019, that number had fallen to an estimated 4.8 million. However, there is still much more work to be done. In 2019, an estimated 2.5 million children under 5 years of age died from preventable causes in low- and middle-income countries.

WEB is committed to continuing its work until all preventable deaths of children under 5 years of age are ended. The movement is working to ensure that every child has the opportunity to survive and thrive.
